Warren Earl Cook

Warren Earl Cook, age 86, of Mendon, IL, died on December 6, 2025 in his home. He was born on November 29, 1939 in Dallas City, IL, the son of Robert and Fannie (Farris) Cook. He married Norma Knowles on August 19, 1960. She survives.

He graduated from Bowen High School and began working at International Shoe Company. Warren later became employed at Moorman’s.

He was of the Baptist faith. Warren found enjoyment in hunting and fishing, or any activity that was outdoors. In earlier years, he also enjoyed basketball.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his CHILDREN: Russell Cook (Cindy) of Mendon; Randy Cook (Karen) of Chatham, IL. GRANDCHILDREN: Emily Turner (Jeff); Sarah Mullett (Johnny); Samual Cook (Cindy); Tiffany Johnkoski; Dakota Cook; Hailey Cook; Brody Cook; Emmett Cook; Ella and Eliza Turner. BROTHERS: Marvin Cook and Robert Cook (Pat)
Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and five sisters.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Family Celebration of his life will take place at a later date. The Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    Norma, I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Warren. My thoughts go back to when I was a young child and his presence offered me solace when I needed it.
