Thomas J. Parmer

Thomas Joe Parmer, age 67, of Quincy, died on Monday, January 1, 2024 in Quincy.  Tom was born on August 8, 1956 in DeWitt, Iowa, son of Paul and Dolores (Jacobsen) Kruse Parmer.

Tom graduated from Central DeWitt High School in 1974.  He retired from Shottenkirk Kia of Quincy and began his next employment, working part time at Menards in Quincy.

He is survived by siblings: Steve and Kim (Leeper) Parmer of Clinton, Iowa and William and Lydia Kruse of Low Moor, Iowa; nieces and nephews: Beth (Kruse) Day and her husband Jonathan Day, Hope (Kruse) and Alan Stephenson, Paige (Kruse) and Austin Stout, William H. Kruse III and his wife Melanie (Holms) Kruse, Kelcee and Curtis Jarrard and eleven great nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Delores Parmer, his stepfather, William Kruse and a sister, Karen Parmer.

Cremation rites were accorded.  No formal services are planned at this time.  Memorials may be made to Duker & Haugh Funeral Home or to the family to help with expenses.

    We met Tom several years ago and always enjoyed talking to him. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
