Terry Brassfield
Terry Brassfield, age 71, of Quincy, died on Monday, November 24, 2025 in the Emergency Room of Blessing Hospital. He was born on May 11, 1954 in Quincy the son of Albert & Dorothy (Lindsey) Brassfield. He married Sandra Ann Flachs on August 19, 1972 in St. Boniface Catholic Church in Quincy. She preceded him in death in 2012. He later married Connie Bordewick. She preceded him in death in 2024. Terry worked at Hollister-Whitney Elevator Corp. for more than 40 years.
Terry was always willing to lend a hand and tried to help people whenever he could. Terry loved to attend and coach many of his children and later his grandchildren’s activities. He had a great ability to fix things and in his spare time liked tinkering on small engines.
He is survived by:
HIS MOTHER: Dorothy Brassfield (John Noble)
HIS SONS: Steve Brassfield (Jennifer Lee) of Poplar Bluff, MO; Mark Brassfield (Gwen) of Quincy and Tommy Brassfield (Nicole) of Homewood, IL.
GRANDCHILDREN: Makayla Mullinix (Dustin), Isaac Brassfield and Nolan Brassfield; James Brassfield, (Shayla) and Madison Brassfield; Eleanor Brassfield and Benjamin Brassfield.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Lyllah and Jameson
BROTHERS: Richard Brassfield and Glen Brassfield (Karrie)
HIS COMPANION: Nancy Hively
Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Terry was also preceded in death by his father and a brother Doug Brassfield.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Greenmount Cemetery. A Celebration of Terry’s life will be held at the Triple Oaks Club immediately following the graveside services. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Terry was my quinsippi soccer coach for Speedway Blacktop. He always stayed in touch with me and we had lots of great conversations. I will miss seeing him. A tremendous man. My condolences to the famiky
