Teresa J. O’Dear, age 68, Of Fowler, died on September 17, 2026 at St. Louis University Hospital. She was born on November 9, 1957 in Quincy, the daughter of Kenneth and Charlotte (Russell) Mohrling. She married Gary L. O’Dear on November 7, 1987. He survives.

She was a graduate of Quincy High School and continued her education at John Wood Community College. Teresa was a Draftsman at U.S. Cooler and later was employed through Country Insurance.

Teresa was a Jehovah’s Witness and attended Kingdom Hall.

She loved to bring her family together having summer fun in the pool. Spending time in the garden and always loved making pies and other treats with her family. She also was always trying to bring out the best in children and grandchildren. She loved being a dog mom to her yorkie Molly.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Jessica Wells, Christina (Bryan) Thomas, Corinna (Drew Starman) Toolate, Michael (Michele Wear) Toolate.

Grandchildren: Jessica and Kenneth Wells, Jordan Toolate, Chloe Jones, Keegan (Douglas Chatfield) Jones, Garrett Toolate, Jacob (Layla) Fields, Aeryan Toolate, Wyatt Starman, Daizie, Jaxon, and Calvin. Great-grandchildren: Liam and Sawyer Chatfield; a brother, Kevin Mohrling; and nieces and nephews: Nicole, Kimmie, and Michael.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026 1:00 PM at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. Interment at Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses. Service arrangements are with the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
