Sylvia A. Peters, age 87, of Quincy, died on Friday, February 14, 2025 in the Good Samaritan Home. She was born on April 30, 1937 in Quincy the daughter of Roman and Stella (Rakers) Lubbe. Sylvia was a graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School. She married Norman Peters on October 14, 1961. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1968. Sylvia did title and abstract work for several area attorneys over the years.

She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Sylvia is survived by:
CHILDREN: Christine Textor (Patrick) of Kansas City, KS and David Peters of Plymouth, Minnesota.
GRANDCHILDREN: Lauren, Ariana and Alana Textor.
SIBLINGS: Joseph Lubbe (Anne) and Dennis Lubbe (Carolyn).
Nieces, nephews and other relatives survive.

In addition to her husband, Sylvia was also preceded in death by four children: Mary Anne, Mary Lynn, Colette and Daniel and a sister Mary Jo Peters along with her husband Will.

A Private family graveside will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus TV Mass for Shut-ins. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
