Steven “Steve” Bradshaw, age 69, of Ursa, died on August 20, 2026, in his home. He was born on April 21, 1957, in Pittsfield, IL, the son of Wayne and Betty (Phillips) Bradshaw. His mother survives. He married Vickie Shoemaker at St. James Episcopal Church in Griggsville, on August 12, 1978. She survives.

He was a Class of 1975 Griggsville High School graduate. After high school, Steve attended the University of Illinois where he received a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Steve started his career as an Electrical Engineer at Central Illinois Public Service Co. Over the years, Steve climbed the ranks through CIPS, and then eventually ended his career as a Division Manager at Ameren Illinois.

Steve had many hobbies which included hunting, woodworking, and traveling. He spent many hours a day in his garage, tinkering on projects. He was happiest when outdoors or spending time with family and friends or loving on his grandbabies.

In addition to his beloved wife and mother, he is survived by his children: Ryan Bradshaw (Jen), Taylor McGinnis (Brian), and his bonus son, Blayne Wallace (Lauren).

Grandchildren: Chase and Katelyn; Hadley and Livy; Quinn and Teagan.

Siblings: Gary Bradshaw (Janice) and Vicki Wallace.

Numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father Wayne Bradshaw, father-in-law Clifton Shoemaker, mother-in-law Bertha “Bert” Shoemaker, brother-in-law Allen Wallace, as well as numerous other relatives.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Ursa Farmers Co-Op (2397 Hwy 96N, Ursa, IL 62376). Visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Ursa Farmers Co-Op (2397 Hwy 96N, Ursa, IL 62376). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made in memory of Steven Bradshaw supporting Chordoma Research at Mayo Clinic.
