I have delivered Meals On Wheels to Shirley for the past few years and she grew on me over time!! In the beginning we weren’t quite on the same page, but I had grown found of her in the brief minutes that I saw her every week. I was very shocked to have learned of her passing, perhaps even making the comment “see you next week Shirley!” Her reply was usually a short and simple “ok!”

I first met Shirley at Blessing Hospital, when dietary delivered the food carts and dietary staff set the food trays up and nursing delivered them to the patients. We re connected years later at First Christian Church, always had a friendly smile and we would enjoy coffee hour together. Steve and I would take Shirley to do her errands when she needed some help. Heaven has another angel. Steve and Deb Clair
