Ronald “Ron” Lee Thixton
“Old-timer” Ron Lee Thixton, age 72, of LaBelle, MO, passed away in Blessing Hospital on May 30, 2025. He was born on April 22, 1953, in Jacksonville, IL, a son of Carl Fredrick and Elizabeth Jane (Davis) Thixton. They preceded him in death.

Ron was a member of the “Teletubby Gang” and had a habit of giving everyone a nickname, his own being “Old-timer”. Ron will always be remembered as the designated Mayor of the Runway. In order to relax he enjoyed fishing and boating with longtime friend, Jimmy.

You will be missed old timer. I remember the first time I ever met you. Gave me my nickname “blonde jr” just because you thought I looked like my mom. Was never a dull moment when you were around.
This is a great tribute to the one and only Ron Thixton. Thank you for including his show family. Lots of years and memories.
I met Ron on a job in Quincy for a company called Borton in 1994. I have thought of him fondly in the past years. I was sad to hear of his passing.
