Mike and I would like to send our condolences to you and your family.

I worked with Ron at Western Illinois Correctional Facility for MacMurray College, and I found him to be a great person. I recall him urging me to get a PSA test, which I thought was unnecessary for a person under 50 years of age. However, after getting the exam, it led to me having surgery for prostate cancer. I never got the opportunity to thank him for his advice, as I left employment with MacMurry college and moved out of state.
God Speed, old friend and may you rest in peace.
RIP Ron, one of the best, Good guys.
Mrs. Rush
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your husband, your family and you are in my prayers
Ron was a “gentle man”……..a good, solid man…..always friendly…..always having a nice thing to say….one always felt better after leaving a conversation with him and Sue.
We are sorry we cannot celebrate his life with his Family, friends and people he helped during his many years of teaching. We are in the Denver area visiting our two sons, Patrick and Dan, their wives and (our three grandchildren) their three children.
He is in heaven naturally making residents even happier.
God bless you, Sue, and everyone you love…..

Sue and family,
Ron had a great sense of humor — he was my bookkeeping teacher in High School! I learned a lot and had a great time. He was also a gentleman!
God be with you all! He will be missed.

I’m deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Mr. Rush. My heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Rush family. I had the privilege of having him as my business teacher at QHS in the late 60s, and he left a lasting impression on me. He was truly one of my favorite educators, always kind, approachable, and ready to listen. His warmth and dedication will be fondly remembered.
I cut Ron’s hair for many years. He comes every two weeks. I will truly miss his appointments in which we talked about music (he has loaned me cd’s he wanted me to listen to) great food, restaurant and wine recommendations, and stories about high school wrestling (my son wrestled) among other topics.
I very much considered him a friend over a client.
Rest in peace Ron—- and keep listening to Pink Floyd
It’s with a heavy heart we offer our condolences to the family on Coach Rush. He was our High School wrestling coach. He was always fair and encouraging to all the grapplers. Then 32 years after graduation my wife (Mona) requested him to speak at my surprise 50th birthday party and he said it would be an honor. All us wrestlers held Coach in very high esteem and he saw us through some trying times, including the death of one of our star grapplers, who passed during our wrestling season. Coach left a lasting impression on us all. Rest in peace Coach. Eddie and Mona Fletcher
