Roger Gene Kerberick

Roger Gene Kerberick, age 82, of Quincy, IL, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, in Illinois Veterans Home. He was born on December 27, 1942, a son to Herman John and Dorothy Mae (Boyer) Kerberick.

Roger was a good storyteller and would share memories of the past and present times for all who would listen. He was blessed with the friends he made at the Illinois Veterans Home. Roger was loved in life and will be missed in death by his family.

Survivors include his siblings: Helen Griesbaum; Sally McBee; Diana King; Ruth (Joe) Thevil; Robert (Dina) Kerberick; Allen Kerberick; Brian Kerberick; and Chris Kerberick. Three nieces and six nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his parents and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. Interment with military rites in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the time of the funeral. Memorials may be made to the Illinois Veterans Activities Fund. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    My Deepest Sympathy to Roger’s Siblings as I did not learn of his passing until today. I would have definitely attended his Visitations and Memorial Services in support of his beautiful family!!! I cherish the memories of our Childhood as Neighbors and attending Tioga Grade School and Warsaw High School together!! Those were wonderful years!! I definitely remember Roger’s stories…he could make them so exciting!! Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you to ease your pain as you grieve his lost! My Condolences.     I was a cousin to Roger and we played together and grew up together. We always had a good time and we enjoyed his stories. May he rest in peace. My condolences to his family.
