Rodney Lee Dietsch age 58, of 2127 277th St., Donnellson, IA died on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 1:05 p.m. in Blessing Hospital. He was born on July 9, 1955 in Fort Madison,IA, a son of Norma Ruth (Vandorin) & Duane Dietsch. He married Terrie Judkins on April 22, 1977.

Rodney was a truckdriver with Carry’s Transit.

Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia Lynn Dietsch of Phenix City, AL; his wife Terrie Dietsch of Phenix City, AL; brothers, Gary Dietsch of Donnellson, IA; Dale Dietsch (Brenda Six) of Ft. Madison, IA; Ronnie (Mary Lou) Dietsch of Davenport, IA; and a step-brother, Gary VanDekerckhove of Springfield, IL;

Sisters: Barbie (Mike Wafer) Dietsch of Davenport, IA; Karen Schafman of San Antonio, TX; Linda (Keith) Shaw of Rock Island, IL; Rita (Jim) Plank of Cedar Rapids, IA and a step-sister, Vickie Jones of Milan, IL. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and step-mother, Viola Dietsch and a step-sister, Diana Clarke.

Rodney’s request was to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
