Robert N. ‘Bob’ Rhea
Robert N. ‘Bob’ Rhea, age 73, of Quincy, died on Monday, June 29, 2026 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on December 18, 1952 in Quincy the son of Norman and Georgene ‘Babe’ (Fleer) Rhea. He married Joan Scheiter on March 22, 1980. She survives.
Bob was a graduate of Quincy Senior High School. He worked as an Account Manager for the Rinella Company for over 30 years. He and his wife Joan are members of Madison Park Christian Church.
Bob loved the water, boating and fishing on the Mississippi and Mark Twain Lake. He was an active member, and was made a Lifetime member, of the Quincy Boat Club. Bob was also a member of the Island Club. He was a car enthusiast, having owned dozens and dozens of cars over the years and at one time was the proud owner of a 1969 Shelby GT500. He built and flew radio-controlled airplanes. Bob also loved all the times spent with friends and family, especially his grandchildren, who he tirelessly traveled to visit. No distance was too far, even though flying was not his favorite activity. He rode 4 wheelers with his sons when they were young and that tradition is now continued by his sons with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Bob is also survived by:
TWO SONS: Robert Norman Rhea, Jr. (Natalie) of Edwardsville, IL and Scott Richard Rhea (Joni) of Woodbine, MD.
GRANDCHILDREN: Jakson, Eliott and Melanie Rhea; Emmett, Tucker and Declan Rhea.
ONE BROTHER: Richard ‘Bigfoot’ Rhea.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law: Cindy Rhea.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 AM on Thursday July 2nd in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held immediately following visitation at 11:00 AM. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital or to Madison Park Christian Church. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

We are so sorry to hear about Bob. I know you all will miss him dearly. He fought a long and difficult battle and gave it his all. Now, he is finally home with our Father.
