Rhonda L. Austin

Rhonda L. Austin, age 50, of Quincy, IL, passed away on March 21, 2024 in her home. She was born on October 18, 1973 in Quincy, IL, a daughter of Russell and Virginia (Woods) Austin. Her parents preceded her in death.

Rhonda worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Quincy area for many years and recently began caring for local Veterans as a home health aide.

Her life revolved around her family and she cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

In younger years she liked the outdoors and fishing.

Rhonda is survived by her children: Devin Austin of St. Peters, MO; Lyndsey Friday (Bill) of Quincy, IL; and Thomas Tedeschi (Eve Georgeson) of Hannibal, MO. Her grandchildren: Sam Farace, Liam Friday, and Moxley Tedeschi. Her brother, Ryan Austin, and nephews: Derek Austin (Jessica) and Brandon Austin.

In addition to her parents, Rhonda was preceded in death by her siblings Russell, Randy and Gena Austin.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery. A Visitation will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    Worked with Rhonda at GSH ,we worked well together . She was a hard worker and caring person ♥️ never forget her ! Hugs to the family for such a great loss .
