Raymond F. Arnold

Raymond F. Arnold, age 73, of Liberty, went to be home with the Lord on Sunday, April 5, 2026 in his home. Ray was born on December 22, 1952 in Pittsfield, Illinois to Lawrence and Scharlene (Swanson) Arnold. Ray graduated from Liberty High School in 1971. He proudly retired from DOT Foods after 31 years.

Ray married Marcia Schroeder on March 26, 1976 in Liberty, Illinois. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She survives.

He is also survived by his children Travis (Laura) Arnold, Shane (Bridget) Arnold and Shawn Arnold. His grandchildren Quintin, Brantlee, Brynlee, and Colton Arnold. Two sisters Karen Jingst and Pattie Westerman and a brother Larry Arnold also survive.

Ray was preceded in death by his daughter Sommer, his parents, and his sister Marjorie Arnold and brother Bobby Arnold.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 1:00 PM in St. Brigid Catholic Church. Interment in St. Brigid Cemetery. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the funeral mass.

Memorials may be made to Liberty Park.

Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    So sorry to learn of Ray’s passing. I have so many fond memories of Ray. He was a neighbor, just living down the road from us, and a classmate of mine. We both attended St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, receiving the Sacraments there. We were also in the same 4-H club, Happy Hollow, and had so much fun square-dancing! My deepest sympathy to his family. 🙏Ray was one of the best.💔🥹
