Phillip W. Shelts

Phillip W. Shelts, age 61, of Quincy, died on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on October 1, 1962 in Quincy, the son of Roger and Kathryn (Volk) Shelts. Phil was a graduate of Quincy High School. He married Malinda Wilson on July 2, 1994. She survives. Phil worked for many years at K & R Mobile Homes and also helped manage the family rental properties.

Phil enjoyed fishing, drag racing, NASCAR, and cooking. He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage as well as helping friends in need.

In addition to his wife, Malinda, Phil is also survived by:
A SON: Schuyler Shelts of Payson
SIBLINGS: Sue Krutmeier-Maple (Paul), and Steve Shelts (Cathy).
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Pamela Klauser along with her husband Robert and a brother-in-law: Rodney Krutmeier.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice or to the Quanada Food Pantry. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
