Patsy Ann Groce age 94, of Hannibal, Mo formerly of Quincy died on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, in Beloved Health & Rehabilitation Center in Hannibal. Patsy was born in Quincy, Il on November 2, 1928, a daughter of Lloyd and Helen Vera (Boles) Douglas. She married Charles Groce, Jr. on December 24, 1947 and he preceded her in death on November 28, 1977.
Patsy retired after 20 years from her work in the Housekeeping Department at Blessing Hospital. Her favorite activity was playing Bingo.
Survivors include her children, Carol Morgan and her husband Bill of Palmyra, MO and Robert Groce and his wife Rebecca of Quincy.
Grandchildren: Kimberly and her husband Rob Wittler, Tony Groce, Tanya Downs and Trenton Groce.
Great-Grandchildren: Kayla Sparrow and her husband Trevor, Emma Wittler, Tyler Wittler, Emily Groce, Austin Whitlock, Brody Groce; and one great-great grandson, Oliver Sparrow.
A sister, Norma Rush of Quincy and many nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and several brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Quincy Memorial Park. There is no visitation, but family and friends are invited to attend the graveside service. Memorials in her name be made to a charity or organization for Donor’s Choice. Service arrangements are in the care of Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.
