Nellie Bradshaw
Nellie Bradshaw, age 68, of Quincy, died at her home on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. She was born on February 21, 1957 in Quincy, IL, the daughter of William and Georgia Mae (Nixon) Shaw.
She married Randy Bradshaw on March 19, 1981 in Quincy, IL. He survives.
Nellie worked for 20 years at Quincy Compressor and then later worked for the Red Cross. She retired in 2023. Nellie was an avid bowler and enjoyed cooking for her family. She attended Bethel AME Church in Quincy.
She is also survived by:
CHILDREN: Anthony Thompson (Jenny) of St. Louis, MO and Chris Bradshaw of Quincy, IL.
GRANDCHILDREN: Darius Thompson (Kendall) and Davin Thompson; Shakeyia Bradshaw, Draven Bullock, Ten’Kameron Crider, Chris Bradshaw, Quinton Bradshaw, Carmello Bradshaw, and Jesiah Bradshaw.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Carter, Malani, Sophia, Everleigh, Aliv’Eaira, Fayre, and Gavin Jr.
SIBLINGS: William Shaw, Ruthann Shaw, Brenda Johnson (George), Joanne Shaw, and Heidi Shaw (Matt).
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandchild Shamiya Bradshaw, nephews Michael Shaw and Corey Shaw, a sister Arletha Shaw and a brother Roger Shaw.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 1:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, January 19, 2026 from 12:00 noon until the time of the services. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Rest in peace, the lord is receiving a beautiful soul. You were a blessing to all who knew you and met you even for a brief moment. You will be missed but forever loved.
Nellie was a great friend and coworker at Quincy Compressor. A great person as well. You will be missed, Nellie. Prayers for your family🙏
I had the pleasure to work with Miss Nellie at the Red Cross. She is such a beautiful soul. She will definitely be missed. I love you Nellie. May you be at peace.
