Michael Pleasant

Michael A. Pleasant, age 64, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024 in Jacksonville, IL. He was born on December 15, 1959, in Quincy, IL, a son to Samuel J. and Marie (Watson) Pleasant. His parents preceded him in death.

Michael graduated from Quincy High School and was Christian by faith. He loved sports and was an avid fan of the Chicago Bulls, and the Cardinals and Cubs baseball teams.

He is survived by his children: Marleejane Asher of Quincy, IL; Jordan Ingram of Quincy, IL; Gavin Bassett of Quincy, IL; Jacki Cress of Oregon; and Samuel Pleasant of Dallas, TX. Siblings: Termass Tony Pleasant, Stephan “Horseman” Pleasant, and Michelle Pleasant all of Quincy, IL; and two special nieces: Antoinette Pleasant and Johnnae Pleasant.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by: a brother, Randy; a sister, Sandra Jones; a nephew, Na’vonte; uncles Charles Watson, Sr. and Jimmy Williams; Sherly Milsap, and Royce Warren.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

    You gonna truly be missed money daingerfield I never thought you was going to be the next one to pass but I guess God needed you up there more than we need to get you down here it’s going to be a boring summer without seeing you sitting out front. R.i.p dear friend.
