Linda Darlene Spencer, age 81, of Quincy, died on Sunday, April 26, 2026 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on October 30, 1944 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of Edward & Naomi (Hinshide) Powell.

Linda was a graduate of Liberty High School.

Linda was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star. In her younger years she enjoyed golf. She was a proud breast cancer survivor. She dearly loved her family and all the get-togethers at the family farm. In addition to her family, she leaves behind her beloved dog, ‘Mitzi’.

She is survived by:
TWO CHILDREN: Bobbette Wand and her husband Tom and Tim Spencer and his wife Denise all of Quincy.
GRANDCHILDREN: Ryan Humphrey and Rachael Younger and her husband Nick.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Jaxson and Lennon Younger and Carlos Humphrey.
A BROTHER: Dennis Powell and his wife Deborah.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers: Monty Powell and Eddie Powell.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 1:30 PM in Quincy Memorial Park. There is no visitation but friends are invited to the Graveside services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society or the Quincy Medical Group Foundation for Oncology. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
