Kevin Phillips

Kevin P. Phillips, age 40, of Monroe City, MO, died on September 13, 2025. He was born on April 3, 1985, in San Diego, CA, the son of Russell and Martha (Welte) Phillips. He was a graduate of Marion County R-2 High School. He married Christina Prudencio on June 29, 2013. She survives. Kevin served in the United States Marine Corps, completing a tour in Iraq.

Kevin founded Full Service Roofing and Remodeling, Inc. in response to the growing frustration within the roofing industry over its lack of honesty and transparency. Thus, Full Service Roofing was born and has grown into all that it is today.

Kevin was a Christian by faith, a loving husband, devoted father, confidant and friend, avid outdoorsman, world traveler, and a Marine and patriot to the very end. When he wasn’t at home, he was in the woods hunting or off on some world-class adventure with his family, finding new and beautiful places to explore.

A jokester at heart, Kevin always wanted to keep everyone laughing and made sure to include everyone in deep conversations that had you questioning big topics long after he had snuck out of the room.

Without Kevin, his company would not be what it is. He was the glue and backbone for hard times in the beginning days, and his dedication and hardworking mentality have long left their impression on those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife Christina, Kevin is also survived by:
His parents, Russell and Martha Phillips
His children: Colin Phillips and Nolan Phillips
Siblings: Heather Phillips, Shawn Phillips along with his children Shawn Phillips, Jr. and Megan Phillips; and Raina Lin (Kevin) along with their children Hannah Lin and Philip Lin.
Numerous other relatives, many friends along with Kevin and Christina’s goddaughter, Thalia Lujan also survive.

Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 10:00 AM Sunset Cemetery with military honors by the Marine Corps Honor Guard and American Legion Post #37.

Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Kevin was a great “kid”. I will always remember him as that “kid” who was the ring bearer at our wedding. I am proud to say that he was my cousin. Sending lots of prayers and thoughts to my Uncle Russ and Aunt Martha. Plus, additional prayers for my cousins Heather, Shawn and Raina. Kevin left us all far too soon. I hope that our Lord and Savior holds Christina and her boys in his hands and guides them in the days ahead. They will definitely need everyone’s prayers. God bless the entire Phillips family.

Martha, I’m sorry for the passing of your son and as a believer I’m sure he is in heaven with Jesus.
I haven’t seen you since we were young and often wondered where you were. It’s hard to believe how fast the years have gone by.
I hope someday soon I can make a trip to the Quincy area and visit my cousins.
    Your cousin,
    Wayne Schildt
