Kenneth Leroy ‘Kenny’ Nelson, age 77, of Quincy, died on Monday, April 22, 2024 in the Sunset Home. He was born on May 12, 1946 in Quincy the son of Elmer ‘Leroy’ and Hilda (Stallmann) Nelson. He was a graduate of Christian Brothers High School.

Kenny worked at Bueter Bakery for many years. He later retired from JC Penny’s after 15 years of service. Kenny was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

Kenny loved to golf and watch the St. Louis Cardinals.

He is survived by:
SIBLINGS: Sally Kroner of Quincy and Thomas ‘TJ’ Nelson of Green Valley AZ.
Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: Janet Nelson and Bruce Nelson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at 11:00. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Catholic Church or the charity of the donor’s choice. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
