Judith Lair
Judith K. Lair, age 72, of Quincy, died on Friday, May 22, 2026, in Blessing Hospital. She was born on July 19, 1953 in Quincy the daughter of Ralph G. & Mary K. (Zanger) Goehl.
Judith worked as a nurse’s aide in the Quincy area for many years.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Judith volunteered for R.S.V.P. and the Red. Cross. She also delivered groceries to people from the St. Francis Food Pantry.
Judith is survived by:
TWO SONS: Jeff W. Lair of Minden, LA and Jeremy Lair (Heather) of Quincy.
GRANDCHILDREN: Kelsey Cook (Justin), Jeffrey Lair (Savannah), JoHannah Lair and Hayley Lair.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Russell Cook and Waylon Cook.
SIBLINGS: Helen Tuter (John) and Sheila Goehl.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents and a brother William Zanger.
Friends and family are invited to the graveside services at Calvary Cemetery on Friday, June 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Catholic Church or to Shriners Children’s Hospital. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The St.Mary Hospital community are remembering Judy as she walked the 2nd floor halls for 25 years then completed her career serving in the Phych unit leaving her footprint on the St.Mary legacy.
