Juanita Moss

Juanita Moss, age 88, of the Bradford Villa, formerly of 2407 Hampshire, died on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 in the Villa. She was born on July 25, 1934 in LaPrarie, IL, the daughter of Fred & Dora (Ferrell) Moss.

Juanita enjoyed a successful lifetime career with Harris Corp. and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. After retirement she sat on the board of Blessing Hospital Foundation where she also volunteered in the Surgical Lounge for 16 years until 2021. As a member of the Home Extension Juanita played an active role on their annual Kiddie Bazaar. She was a fun person and touched many lifetime friends with her great sense of humor.

Juanita traveled the world with her brother Don Moss and sister-in-law Margaret. She visited them often in Maryland and Florida and enjoyed a close relationship with their six daughters. She was a loving aunt and will be missed by her nieces.

Juanita is also survived by cousins Arlene and Kurt Schmiedeskamp, both residing in Quincy. Because she had no children, she spent many holidays and celebrations with her large extended family.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Donald Moss and Doris Blickhan.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Interment in Southside Cemetery in Clayton, Illinois. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at 11:00. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
