Joan enjoyed quilting and sewing and all kinds of crafts. She liked playing cards along with doing puzzles, and taking care of her flowers and plants. Joan was a volunteer for RSVP. She was a den mother in scouts. Joan was born in the Great Depression. She walked 3 miles each way to school and back to home and partly attributed this to her longevity.
