Harold H. Jansen, age 79, of 4210 Ellington Rd., Quincy died on Sunday, November 17,2002 at 10:20 PM in the ICU at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born September 25, 1923 in Quincy, a son of Fred G. and Ellen W. (Hilgenbrink) Jansen.

Prior to retiring, Harold was a self-employed electrical contractor.

He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.

Harold was a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Dominic’s, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the U.CT., the A.A.R.P. and Quincy Cusillo.

Survivors include:
Two sons: Steven Jansen and his wife Renae of Quincy and James Jansen;
Three Grandchildren: Tasha, Travis and Heather Jansen all of Quincy;
A brother: Virgil Jansen and his wife Rosemary of Sutter, IL;
Two sisters-in-law: Patsy Jansen and Dori Jansen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brother, Marcellus, Richard and LeRoy, a sister, Norma Jansen, four children, all in infancy, Daniel, John, Theresa and Joseph Jansen.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2002 at 9:30 AM in Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 20, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the home. There will be a parish prayer service at 5:00 PM Wednesday with a Knights of Columbus service to follow. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Rev. Donald Knuffman will conduct the services. Memorials may be made to St. Dominic Catholic Church, Cursillo, or T.E.C.
