Harold E Ellerbrock, age 82 of Quincy, Illinois passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 4:40 PM in Sunset Home. Harold was born in Quincy on January 1, 1944, the son of Raymond and Esther (Buhre)Ellerbrock.

He married Patricia Ann Dempsey on October 21, 1967, in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. Pat preceded him in death on March 31, 2017.

He was a 1962 graduate of Unity High School. Harold worked at the former Moorman Manufacturing Co., retiring as Shipping Coordinator.

Harold was an active member of the Church of St. Peter. He served on the Social Concerns Committee, the funeral luncheon committee, he counted the mass offerings, he also helped with property maintenance and caring for Father Leo’s roses.

Harold served as a 4-H leader in Adams County for forty years. He loved working with the Ellerbrock Club Lamb Business and he enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren selling and showing club lambs. He wouldn’t miss a sporting activity, or family get together.

Survivors include his two sons, Jeffrey Ellerbrock, and his wife Kelly, Bradley Ellerbrock, and his wife Lisa all of Atkinson, Illinois. Three grandchildren, Cole Ellerbrock, Kashen Ellerbrock, Kendall Ellerbrock all of Atkinson.

His sisters and brother, Charlotte Lizdas of Florida, Janice Jackson of Sutter, IL, Kenneth Ellerbrock and his wife Doni of Ursa.
A sister-in-law Kathy Ellerbrock, many nieces and nephew as well as his special friend Lois Schneider also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Pat, siblings, Roger Ellerbrock, Shirley McGregor and Dale Ellerbrock.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, with a prayer service at 9:30 AM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and a Mass Christian burial at 10:00 AM at the Church of Saint Peter.

Interment will follow at New Providence Cemetery near Ursa.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested to Saint Peter Church, Adams County 4-H Foundation, or Blessing Hospital Foundation for Hospice.
