Gregory J. Friday
Gregory J. Friday age 66 of Quincy died on Monday, May 13, 2024, in his home. He was born July 16, 1957, in Quincy, a son of Hershel and Maude (Davis) Friday.
Gregory had worked for the City of Quincy before retiring due to health reasons.
He was very sociable and enjoyed visiting people he met as he walked all over town. Gregory’s family, especially his grandchildren and great granddaughter, Hazel, meant the world to him. He was a fan of the Andy Griffith Show. He liked riding his brother Buck’s moped around and he was a ladies’ man. You knew he really liked you if he cussed you out. He is survived by his children, Penny Friday, Nancy Friday, Nick Goings and Missy Rife.
He had many beloved stepchildren including Jason Biswell, Adam Hagerty, Angel VanOrder, Joshua Kelley, RanDale Starman, RyAnna Kelley, and Ben Kelley. Nine Grandchildren. A sister, Shirley Miller and a special niece, Sissy Owsley. Numerous step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren and nieces and nephew also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Thomas Friday in infancy; a stepdaughter Missy Biswell, brothers and sisters, Buck, Wayne and Pete Friday, Ellie Boernson, Elsie Jones, Nancy Shoop and Wanda Friday.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
My heart goes out to the family and friends Greg will never be forgotten . I loved how he was always so outspoken if he knew you well then you at least got cussed out once so he really loved you if you got cussed.lots of Love Gloria Fulk
He will ever be forgotten. I went to school with him, when we went. You always knew where you took with Greg. I hadn’t seen him in years but the memories remain. Thanks Greg for the great memories..
