George Neil Davis, age 94, of Quincy, died on Monday, June 15, 2026 in Quincy Healthcare and Senior Living. He was born on March 17, 1932 in Quincy, the son of George and Mildred (Lease) Davis. Neil graduated from Payson High School. He married Patricia Ann Long on January 6, 1962 in Arkansas. She preceded him in death on December 14, 2020.

Neil was a Rim Line Inspector at Electric Wheel for over 30 years. He later invested in real estate in the Quincy area. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.

He enjoyed spending his time with his family. He also enjoyed stock car racing.

He is survived by:
CHILDREN: Dawn Hoffman of Quincy, Scott Davis (Alexis) of Quincy and Shawn Davis (Melissa) of Elmhurst, IL.
GRANDCHILDREN: Joshua Lawless (Kelsey), Cody Davis (Katie); Cole Davis, Allison Davis, Savanna and Sora Bradshaw.
GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Eleanor and Valerie Lawless, and Lincoln Davis.
SIBLINGS: Jon Davis (Charlet), Joyce Stephens; and Doris Vahle.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

In addition to his wife, Neil was preceded in death by parents, a child Cherie Davis in infancy, a sister Diane Garner along with her husband Russell, and brothers in law: Richard Stephens and Bob Vahle.

Private Graveside inurnment services will be held at a later date in Greenmount Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Parkinson’s Research. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
