Franklin Donald “Frank” Heck III

Franklin Donald “Frank” Heck III, age 51, of Quincy, died on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born on September 5, 1974, in Quincy, the son of F. Donald Heck, Jr. and Sandra (Raffelson) Heck. He married Greta Gustison on October 12, 2002, at St. Peter Catholic Church. She survives.

Frank was a 1992 graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School. He then attended Quincy University and St. Louis University. He was owner and operator of Heck Gaming.

He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Mississippi Valley Hunters and Fisherman Associations, and Adams County Folks Care. Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing in his free time.

Frank enjoyed rooting for the Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Steelers, and was an avid Illini fan.

In addition to his loving wife Greta, survivors include his children: Sidney Heck of Champaign, IL, Franklin Donald Heck IV, and Nolan Heck of both Quincy.

His parents F. Donald Heck Jr. and Sandra Heck of Quincy; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Michael (Beth) Gustison all of Quincy.

Siblings: Angela Heck and Alica Heck, both of Quincy.

Sister and brothers in law: Tami (Toby) Culp, Tony (Betsy) Gustison, and Tim Gustison.

Nieces and nephews: Abbey Zander, Gabby Russell, Josh Culp, Joe Culp, Tom Culp, Anthony Gustison, Isabelle Gustison, and Logan Epping.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 9:30 am at Duker and Haugh Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Peter Catholic Church with Rev. Dan Bergbower, officiant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to American Red Cross or Leukemia Research Foundation. Service arrangements are with the Duker and Haugh Funeral
