Francis M. “Frank” Schuermann

Francis M. “Frank” Schuermann, age 87, of Warsaw, died Friday, May 12, 2023 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.

He was born October 31, 1935 in Quincy, the son of Frederick, Sr. and Frances Jones Schuermann. He married Carolyn Davis on June 16, 1961 in Palmyra, MO and she survives.

He is also survived by one son, Mark (Angie) Schuermann of Warsaw; two grandchildren, Breanna (Matthew) Irish of Lomax and Oakley Henze of Hamilton; five great-grandchildren, Axel, Lindale, Julius, Oryn and Everett; siblings, Shirley Gilbert of Quincy and John (Pat) Schuermann of Camdenton, MO; and several nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle Henze (surviving husband, Dale); three brothers, Fred, Jr., Vernon and Paul Schuermann; and one sister, Evelyn Rees.

Mr. Schuermann was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from AmerenUE, prior to working for Sheller-Globe Corp. in Keokuk. Francis later became an ordained minister, serving churches in the Warsaw area. Frank enjoyed golfing and archery, particularly the long bow.

Cremation will be accorded. Private burial will be held at Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy. Condolences may be shared online at www.dukerandhaugh.com. Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
