Doris Mae Burris
Doris Mae Burris, age 94, of Quincy died on Thursday, May 11, 2023 in Blessing Hospital. She was born May 9, 1929 in Waukegan, IL the daughter of Stanley and Amelia (Morgal) Mlinar. Doris married Roy C. Burris and they shared 64 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2013.
She was a graduate of Waukegan Township High School.
Doris was a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.
Doris is survived by her children: Connie Gordon, Debra (Garry) Hightower, Pamela Burris and James (Teresa) Burris, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded death by her parents and husband.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. Interment will be in Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL on Monday, May 15, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church.
