David H. Windoffer
David H. Windoffer, age 70, of Payson, died on Monday, July 14, 2025 in Blessing Hospital. He was born on April 5, 1955 in Quincy, the son of Paul & Virginia (Cramsey) Windoffer. He married Linda Dietrich on June 28, 1975. She survives.
Mr. Windoffer was a graduate of Payson High School and the John Wood Community College Ag Center. He was a machinist in the Quincy area for many years. David was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He also liked mushroom hunting. His greatest joy, however, was family and spoiling the grandkids.

CHILDREN: Anita Arnold (Brock) of Quincy and Shelly Zengel (Eric) of Liberty, Il
GRANDCHILDREN: Zach Arnold, Zoey Arnold, Genavieve Zengel (Jacob Gould), Nathan Zengel and Henry Zengel.
SIBLINGS: Mary Jo Martin (Bob), Ann Harness and Becky Harris (Stanley).
BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN LAW: Jane Windoffer, Larry Taute, Rita Lentz, Dennis Dietrich (Jeannie), Laurie Dietrich.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
David was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Don Windoffer, Jim Windoffer, Kay Smith along with her husband Paul and Joyce Taute; a brother in law: Ronnie Harness and David’s in-Laws: Ray and Evelyn Dietrich.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 9:45 in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and at 10:30 in St. Brigid Catholic Church. Interment in St. Brigid Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Brigid Cemetery Fund. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
