Daniel Lechner, Sr.
Daniel Louis Lechner, Sr., age 81, of Quincy, died on Saturday, March 2, 2024 in the Illinois Veterans’ Home. He was born in LaSalle, IL on July 10, 1942 the son of Urban and Louise (Schmitz) Lechner.
Dan served his country in the Marines from 1961-1965 and received the Good Conduct Medal.
He was very dedicated to the Catholic religion.
Dan is survived by his children: Daniel L. Lechner, Jr., Jeremy Ashcroft and his wife Leah, Rick Reimann and his wife Chelsea, Danell Mertes and her husband Danny, Darlene Freeman and Denice Carr; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Sunset Cemetery of the Illinois Veterans Home with military rites conducted at the Cemetery. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
