Curtis Boone

Curtis Edward Boone, 33, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 in his home. He was born on July 3, 1990 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Tom and Nancy (Sherman) Boone. They both survive.

Curtis graduated from Quincy High School in 2008 and went on to work as a machinist, most recently at Titan Wheel. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

As a boy, Curtis was a proud member of the Boy Scouts of America and achieved the rank of an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed gaming and watching movies. Curtis loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. He cherished time spent with his family, who he was very close to. Curtis was a proud uncle, and he will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, Curtis is survived by:
A SISTER: Kayla Kloppe (Andrew) of New Berlin, IL.
TWO NEPHEWS: Boone and Hank Kloppe, of New Berlin, IL.
Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives also survive.

Curtis was preceded in death by: Maternal grandparents Russell and Esther Sherman, paternal grandparents Marvin and Barb Boone, and an aunt Catherine Sherman.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Church or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
