Anna Lee Waterkotte

Anna Lee Waterkotte, age 86, of Quincy, died on Monday, November 3, 2025 in Good Samaritan Home. She was born on November 19, 1938 in Quincy, the daughter of Leland W. and Anna M. (Rupp) Casburn. She married Richard “Dick” E. Waterkotte on July 11, 1959 in St. Peter Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2010.

Anna Lee attended grade school at St. Peter and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1956. She then furthered her education at Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL. Anna Lee was employed at Gates Radio and later at Sears-Roebuck. She retired from Sears-Roebuck after working in the office for 27 years.

She was a member of the Church of St. Peter. Anna Lee served as Vice President of Volunteers at Blessing. She and Dick were avid travelers in their RV, and wintered in South Texas for ten years. Anna Lee followed her family to horse shows and had a life-long love of boating. She was happiest when she was spending time with her family. Anna Lee was often found at her grandchildren’s sporting events, dance recitals, or school activities.

She is survived by her children: Lori Crissup, Lynn Mann, Kenneth Waterkotte, and Karen (Jim) Ludwig all of Quincy. Grandchildren: Heather Crissup, Courtney (Andrew Whitefoot) Crissup, Devin Mann, Kelsey (Chris) Tittsworth, Danielle Waterkotte, Adam (Rachel) Ludwig, and Nathan (Ricki) Ludwig. Great Grandchildren: Aden, Reese, Romira, Walker, Rhenleigh, Colson, and Camryn. Siblings: James (Linda) Casburn of Blue Springs, MO and Jane (Sam) Goll of Miami, FL. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, mother and father in law, and brother, Robert Casburn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association. Service arrangements are with the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home.

    I was sorry to learn of your Mother’s passing yesterday I definitely would have attended the funeral had I known. She was a good person and friend.
