Mr. Ott was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He was active in Cursillo and Marriage Encounter.
Mr. Ott enjoyed playing cards and games with his family, in particular his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was notorious for having no mercy! But teaching all about gracious winning and losing.

A special ‘thank you’ to all the loving staff at Casita Catherine Assisted Living facility who took Hubert (and Betty before him at St. Vincent Home) into their hearts and lovingly cared for them. Hubert added some of you to his list as his “durn fool kids”.
We would also like to thank Blessing Hospice for their help in Hubert’s final days. Their help and compassion is greatly appreciated. Matt and the whole team were wonderful.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 9:30 AM in St. Peter Catholic Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice, Quincy University or to St. Peter Catholic School. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
I remember Hubie from the old St. Boniface days. I know he and dad (Francis) worked together on many committees from the St Patrick’s day dinner to other Holy Name events.
A kind, likable man.
Our condolences. Rick and Judy Haugh
Dear Ron and Mary –
