Wilma Hibbert Trapini

Wilma Hibbert Trapini age 76 of 301 North 8th St. and formerly of Camp Point, died on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 11:50 p.m. in Blessing Hospital.

Wilma was born November 3, 1934 in Quincy, IL a daughter of William and Elma (Hulse) Hibbert. She married Vince Trapini on March 14, 1953 in Gallup, NM and he preceded her in death. Wilma was a graduate of Proviso High School in Chicago. She was a production worker at Davis Cleaver, then Swift Eckrich working for 29 years until her retirement.

She was formerly a member of the United Methodist Church in Camp Point, and currently a member of Vermont Street United Methodist Church in Quincy.

Wilma really enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and visiting with her friends was always a great joy.

Survivors include her children, William “Bill” Trapini and his wife Brenda of Quincy;
Theresa Gebauer and her husband Ed of Concorde, NC; and Cathy A. Stephens and her husband Matt of Quincy;
5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren also survive.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a great grandson, Jonathan DeVerger.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Dr. Scott Grulke. Interment will be in Paloma Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
