Wilma E. Bockenfeld

Wilma E. Bockenfeld, age 86, of 901 S. 36th Street, Quincy, died on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 in Blessing Hospital. She was born on June 25, 1922 in Canton, MO. She was a twin daughter of William and Rebecca (Chance) Chinchen. She married Joseph Bockenfeld in June 1948. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1978.

Wilma was a member of St. Anthony Church.

She was a graduate of Canton, Missouri High School. Her last employment was at Hickory Farms in the Quincy Mall where she worked as a sales associate.

Wilma enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.

CHILDREN: Sharon (Don) Wellman, Rebecca McLean, Bill (Diana) Bockenfeld, Terry (Monika) Bockenfeld, and Greg (Penny) Bockenfeld all of Quincy;
STEP-SON: Donald Bockenfeld of Lake Havasu, AZ;
GRANDCHILDREN: Johnny Ray (Linda) Wellman, JoDee Wellman, Jeanette Wellman, Jay Wellman, Joy Wellman, Angel (Aaron) Baugher, Joshua Smith, Brent (Heather)Bockenfeld, Brooke (Dr. Alan) Richardson, Denise Bockenfeld, Danny Bockenfeld, Travis (Jamie) Bockenfeld, and Tracy (Dan) Ludwig;
STEP-GRANDCHILDREN: Jim (Mary) Bockenfeld, Jeff (Melinda) Bockenfeld, Rod (Susan) Bockenfeld, Donette (Rick) Cannady, Cheryl (Brian) Ward, Shannon (Vaughn) Harshman, and Christine (Alan) Dixon;
DEAR FRIENDS: Elmer and Jeanne Maas and family.
Many loved great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, three sisters, and a granddaughter, Tara Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 2, 2009 at 9:45 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. in St. Anthony Catholic Church by Rev. Tom Hagstrom. Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Dominic Grade School or St. Anthony Catholic Church.
