”William “Ray” King”

William “Ray” King age 75, of LaGrange, MO died on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 5:14 p.m. in the Emergency Room of Blessing Hospital. Ray was born in Cullman, AL on September 16, 1942 a son of Cliff and Vestell (Goodno) King. He married Betty L. Guthrie on July 6, 1974 in Madison Heights, MI and she survives.
Ray worked as a Journeyman for the U.A.W. repairing machinery at Shane Steel formerly in Frazier, MI for 26 years prior to retiring. He was of the Protestant faith. Ray loved the outdoors, he liked to go fishing and work in the garden.
In addition to his wife Betty, survivors also include his children, David (Betty) King of Melrose, FL; Steve King of Mt. Clemons, MI; and Cyndie King of Quincy; grandchildren, Raymond; Rebecca King; Steve King, Jr.; Veronica King and Ziya Stackhouse. Three siblings, Sherman King; Geraldine Higgins; Marzell Watson; nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law, his beloved pet dogs, Chico and Plug also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Robert Ray King; a brother Rickie King; and a brother in infancy, Eugene King.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
