William N. Anderson

William N. Anderson, age 59, of 1037 Ohio, died on Friday, February 26, 2010 in the Emergency Room of Blessing Hospital. He was born on December 4, 1950 in Quincy, the son of William C. Anderson and Juanita (Neal) Anderson Adams. He married Joan E. Marshall on September 4, 1970 in Quincy. She survives.

Mr. Anderson worked for Stone Trucking as a driver for many years. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. William was an avid racing and NASCAR fan. He loved to go to the Gateway International in St. Louis. His favorite drivers were Carl Edwards and Mark Martin. He also loved the Beatles and Country Music.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by:
THREE CHILDREN: William J. “Billy” Anderson and his wife Evelyn of Quincy; Angela Anderson Newlon and her husband Robb of Kinderhook, IL; and Tracy M. Leake and her husband Jacob of Quincy
FIVE GRANDCHILDREN: William L. Anderson, Damon M. Anderson, Jessica J. Anderson, Mariah L. Anderson and Naythen T. Newlon
ONE BROTHER: Donald Grotz
ONE SISTER: Connie Gallamore
Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 5:00 PM in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 PM until the time of the services at 5:00. Memorials may be made to the family.

    God called you home to soon but he must of needed you to make heavenly truck runs in heaven I can still smell the diesel fumes even though your not here we will always miss you Love Me.
