William Martin Padavic

William Martin Padavic, age 76, of Quincy, died on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in his home. He was born on March 23, 1941 in Quincy, IL the son of John & Florence (VanArx) Padavic. William was a graduate of Christian Brothers High School. He married Melanie Black on February 8, 1964. She survives. Mr. Padavic owned and operated the Quincy Awning and Tent Co. Mr. Padavic attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. As a child, Mr. Padavic served as an altar boy at the church when it was known as St. Mary’s Church. William enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also was a sports fan, enjoying Cardinal Baseball.

In addition to his wife, William is also survived by:
ONE SISTER: Patty Barnwell
THREE BROTHERS: Vic Padavic, Joe Padavic and Ray Padavic and his wife Tommy.
Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

William is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Johnny Padavic and Phillip Padavic.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Blessed Sacarament Catholic Church. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
