William Guy “Billy” Hulett, Jr.

William Guy “Billy” Hulett, Jr., 56, of Barry, IL died on Monday, July 10, 2023 in his home. He was born in Springfield, IL on July 26, 1966, the son of William G. and Madonna Scrimpsher Hulett. Billy married Kelly Sellinger. She preceded him in death on September 29, 2016.

Billy was an engineer for the BNSF Railroad. He was an avid fisherman and had many building projects.

He is survived by his mother, Madonna Hulett of Hull, children: Ashley (Michael) Tomlin of Springfield, IL, Amanda Hamilton, of Springfield, IL, Hailey Hulett, of Springfield, IL, Shelby Hulett of Barry, Colten Hulett of Barry and Taylor Hulett (Carl Rowden) of Hannibal, MO; eleven grandchildren; one sister, Tina Marie Anderson of New Canton, IL, three nieces and nephews.

Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Kelly and his dad, William G. Hulett, Sr.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Arrangements are in care of Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.

    Bill was a great guy to work with and I always looked forward to working with him on the railroad. He will be missed.

    It was always good working with you sir. The stories were some of the best while being tired at night on them slow trains. You’ll be missed by all of us. Tiffany and I send our thoughts and prayers to your family at this time. Hope you’re catching all the fish up there Bill.

    Oh my goodness no way I sure would of never saw this a coming darn another friend gone sure will miss you and your stories we shared lots of talks at BNSF prayers and condolences to your family may you be at peace this is so wierd I was just thinking about you the other day that I had not saw your truck go through at work I sure never would of guessed this may you Rest In Peace it was great knowing you hope the fishing is great there
