William Frank Hrudicka

William Frank Hrudicka, age 73, of 918 Lind St., Quincy, died on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 in his home. He was born on July 21, 1940 in Quincy, a son of Robert Bernard & Rosella (McGartland) Hrudicka.

William served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Bill had been an accountant. He also was a self-employed bartender and restaurateur in the St. Louis area for many years. Formerly he worked for McGraw-Hill Publishing Company.

He was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Elks and the Adams County Historical Society. He also was an election judge in Adams County and a Boy Scout volunteer where he had served as Scout Master. Bill was also active in the Quincy Community Little Theatre. On September 26, 2013 Bill was able to fulfill a personal dream by participating in the Honor Flight that day.

He is survived by:
His Children: Carol Wuesthoff of Doniphan, MO, Mark W. Hrudicka and his wife Myra of Cadiz, KY, Robert A. Hrudicka and his wife Marika of Jedah, Saudi Arabia, Daniel Hrudicka and his wife Angie of Matoon, IL and Joan White and her husband Hillie of Neoga, IL; and a sister Sally Adams of Quincy, IL. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother James Hrudicka and a sister Norma Marold.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2013 at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Catholic Church. Interment in Sunset Cemetery of the Illinois Veterans Home with military rites at the cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home.     [ only knew Bill for a short time but he was a very interesting gentleman we spent many evenings watching tv enjoying each others company.
