William “Billy” Platt Rowsey, Jr.
William “Billy” Platt Rowsey, Jr. age 47, of 924 Payson, Quincy, died on Monday, September 13, 2010 in Quincy. Billy was born July 13, 1963 in Quincy, the son of William and Sandra (Platt) Rowsey, Sr. He married Jackie Brackley on April 15, 2005, and she survives.
Billy had worked as a laborer. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1981-1984 and was a graduate of the Man Portable Defense System Crew. He was of the Christian faith. Billy was a hunter and fisherman. He most enjoyed time spent with is family and his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Jackie of Quincy, survivors also include his mother, Sandra Allensworth and her husband Kennard of Liberty, IL; sons, Christopher and Sean; and 2 grandchildren, Corbin and Kayla;
three sisters, Verlenna “Sissi” Sisk of Ursa; Michelle Sisk of Fairfield, IA and Samantha Sisk Watkins of Quincy; four nieces, three nephews and a great niece Makiya; aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, his step-father Jerry Sisk, grandparents Kenneth and Gladys Platt and Ruth and Ralph Rowsey.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Xander Cemetery near Liberty conducted by the Rev. Chuck Sackett.
There will be no visitation, but family and friends are invited to the graveside services.
Memorials are suggested to his wife, Jackie.
