William “Bill” G. Hulett age 77 of Hull and formerly of Springfield, IL died on Saturday, March 27, 2021 in the Barry Community Care Center. Bill was born in Springfield, IL on June 13, 1943 a son of Charles Roy and Marjorie Cecilia (Bloomfield) Hulett. He married Madonna Marie Scrimpsher on September 4, 1965 and she survives.

Bill was a Union Painter and spent the majority of his career working in Springfield, IL. He was of the Christian faith. He was a member of District 58 of the Painter’s Union. Bill was a wonderful father, husband and grandpa, his grandchildren lovingly called him “Grandpa Hugs”. In their Springfield neighborhood he was known as the “Neighborhood Dad”.

His hobbies included fishing, hunting, bowling and playing golf. He enjoyed gardening and was very good at home improvement projects.

In addition to his wife, survivors also include his two children, William Guy Hulett, Jr. of Barry, IL and Tina Marie Anderson of Marion, IL.
12 Grandchildren; 21 Great-Grandchildren, three siblings, Mary Lee Rees, Nancy Patterson and David Roy Hulett.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, Harold “Cookie” Hulett, Phillip Hulett, Idell Waller, Shirley Miller, Charles Hulett, and Richard Wayne Hulett; a daughter-in-law, Kelly Lynn Hulett and a son-in-law, Eddie Le Anderson.

Cremation rites will be accorded.
