William Aaron “Sharp” Henderson age 78, of Quincy died on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 in Blessing Hospital. He was born June 21, 1941 in Pittsfield, IL a son of Andrew & Vanneata (Bassett) Henderson. He married Una C. Hood on January 11, 1986, and she survives.

Sharp was employed by the City of Quincy in Central Services until his retirement.

He was a graduate of Quincy Senior High School.

Sharp had an easy-going approach to life, and he had a way of befriending everyone, young and old.

In addition to his wife, Una, survivors include his children,
Bruce, Drew, Paul and Matthew Henderson; Kelly Miller, Deanna Williams, Erin Henderson and M.J. Cotton. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother Andrew Henderson of St. Louis, MO; two stepchildren, Lashauda Byars and Jeremy Williams and nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary and Delores.

Private services will be held in Greenmount Cemetery following cremation rites.
