William A. “Bill” Glore
William A. “Bill” Glore, 82, of 411 South 36th St., Quincy, died on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Blessing Hospital. Bill was born on April 2, 1932 in Quincy, IL, the son of William H. and Alberta (Cramore) Glore. He married Patricia ‘Pat’ Selves on September 28, 1952. She survives.
Bill was a Christian. He attended Quincy Schools. He served as an Engineman, 3rd Class in the US Navy aboard the USS Philippine Sea during the Korean War. He took great pride of having security clearance to carry sensitive cargo for the military when he had his trucking business. When he was discharged from the Navy, he worked for George Keller & Sons, Hinton Motors, Quincy Transit Lines, Uregas and was a self-employed trucker until 2008. He was then employed by Gully Trucking until 2011.

7 GRANDCHILDREN: Scott Bergman and his wife Maria of Quincy; Darren Glore and his wife Jenna of Springfield, IL; Lindsey Miller and her husband Daniel of Oklahoma City, OK; Jayme Veihl and her husband Koda of Quincy; Stephanie Hill and her husband Ryan of Nebo, IL; Yasmine Glore and Andrew Glore of San Antonio, TX
10 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Emily Moore of Quincy, Cade, Alexis & Luke Bergman of Quincy; Makinley Miller of Oklahoma City, OK; Landon Orr of Quincy and Hazel, Evelyn, Huntley and Mabel Jean of Nebo, IL
A BROTHER: Theodore R. Glore of Quincy
Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives survive.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ronald Glore in infancy, and a precious granddaughter Shannon Kristine Moore.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 12:00 noon in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home by Pastor Gail Pope. Interment in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday at the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home from 11:00 until the time of the services at noon. Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or to the Quincy Humane Society.
