Wayne A. (Tony) Humphrey Jr.

Wayne Anthony Humphrey, Jr. (Tony) of Quincy, Illinois died Monday, June 6, 2022 in Greenville, Texas with his mother by his side.

Turbo, as he was affectionately referred to by his family and close friends, was born October 8, 1984, in Quincy, Illinois to Donna Kay Milsap and Wayne Anthony Humphrey, Sr.

He graduated from Quincy Senior High School with the class of 2003 where he was a star athlete on the Quincy Blue Devils basketball team. After graduating high school he continued playing basketball with a full scholarship to Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa. Turbo enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Jahvae’ Humphrey; Mother, Donna Milsap; Father, Wayne (Wanda) Humphrey, Sr; Sister, Mia Motley; and brothers Michael (Rochelle) Milsap and Marcus Coleman.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arkansas “Martha” Milsap and Randolph (Shirley) Milsap; paternal grandparents Everett and AnnaBelle Humphrey; infant twin brother and sister; an aunt Paula Humphrey and uncle Lamont Humphrey.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 11, at 1 pm, at Union Baptist Church, 935 Chestnut Street, Quincy, Illinois. The repass will be in the Banquet Room at the Microtel Inn and Suites, 200 South Third Street at 4 pm.

    My deepest all the family. This young man came to my home alot and we absolutely loved his visits and his beautiful presence. Prayers for comfort in the days ahead

    Tony was a good friend and great basketball player. We spent several summers playing the circuit and we enjoyed each other’s company. Rest in Peace Tony. Too young to die.

    My deepest condolences to the Millsap/Humphrey family..he was the coolest smoothest dude you could every meet! And that handsome smile will truly be missed…in heaven as it is in earth is my feelings towards death..he is living his life still but only in spirit..so he is still here with all of us!!!
