Wayde C. (Wayd-O) Sephus
Wayde C. (Wayd-O) Sephus, age 86, of 1707 N. 12th St., formerly of 820 Lind, Quincy, died on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 2:10 p.m. in Blessing Hospital. He was born on May 13, 1929 in Lewistown, Missouri, a son of Charles & Bessie (Clay) Sephus. He married Ruth Bailey. She preceded him in death.
Mr. Sephus served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a brick layer, working for Rupp Construction until his retirement in 1985.
Wayde enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He also enjoyed listening to the blues.
He is survived by:
TWO DAUGHTERS, Jamara French of Oak Lawn, IL and Delinda French of Quincy;
THREE GRANDAUGHTERS, Felicia French, Tamara French and Archieona French;
THIRTEEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his former fiancé, Audrey French, one stepson, Kevin French and siblings, Floyd Sephus, Merle Sephus and Geraldine Hendricks.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Wednesday beginning at 12:00 noon until the time of services at the funeral home. The Duker & Haugh Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

I did not know your dad for very long. But found him to be very funny and very nice. He and my father shared a hospital room back in February and then again were together at Markword 1. My dad was very surprised to here of his passing. God Bless your family!
