Wanda Louise Smith

Wanda Louise Smith age 74, of 1300 Chestnut St. Quincy died on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 5:37 a.m. in Blessing Hospital following a short battle with cancer. Wanda was born August 2, 1938 in Boone County, MO a daughter of Charles W. and Lorena P. (Baker) Schmidt. She married Donald L. Smith on March 19, 1955 in Quincy, and he survives.

Wanda had worked in sales at Kmart and Sears in Quincy.
She attended Bible Baptist Church and the Praise the Lord Chapel.

Wanda loved her rose garden, and reading the Bible daily. She also loved traveling, and her family so very much.

In addition to her husband, Donald, survivors also include her son, Donald W. Smith and his wife Jane; two grandchildren, Chasity Lynn Moore and her husband Brian and Coty Joel William Smith; and great-grandchildren, Ashtyn Smith and Jett Moore all of Quincy.
Two brothers-in-law, Harold Smith and his wife Jean, and Richard Stickler survive, along with several nieces and nephews.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Kenneth Schmidt; brothers-in-law Larry and David Smith and a sister-in-law, Joan Stickler.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Duker & Haugh Funeral Home, by Charlie Lubbert. Interment will be in Quincy Memorial Park. Visitation is Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Blessing Foundation for Hospice. www.dukerandhaugh.com
